"The neck is hand-made by me. It was my graduation piece to become a Luthier from the Guitar Craft Academy in 2003. It’s been all over the country on different Telecaster bodies and songs. It’s the only neck I’ve ever made. One of a kind, no doubt. Birds Eye Maple, 22 jumbo frets, polyurethane sealed. Fret indicators are on the side but not the front. Pure wood and tone. Taken care of like it was a child.
The body is 1 piece of ultra lightweight Swamp Ash, cut by Mark Jenny out of Missouri. No glue. The body weight is 3lb, 6oz. The pickups that are in it are “THE” pickups that were used on Straw in the Wind and Old News. The most I know about them is that I got the bridge pickup when I was an intern/guitar tech for Pete Anderson at Little Dog Records circa 2003/2005. It’s a Dimarzio Humbucker stacked. The neck pickup I got around 2012 when I was still in Jamey Johnson’s band. It is also a Dimarzio Humbucker, and is the “Straw in the Wind” pickup on the album."
Starts at $6,500, with 20% donated directly to Disabled American Veterans.
Comes with handwritten lyrics to "Old News," handwritten lyrics to "The Secret," + Rowdy's father's pelican type rifle road case.
